Birmingham, Sandwell and Solihull: non-emergency patient transport service

Text size:

Non-emergency patient transport (NEPT) helps eligible patients who have a medical need, and who are unable to travel by private or public transport, to get to and from NHS healthcare services. NEPT services aim to give patients safe, timely and comfortable transport. These services are available free of charge for eligible patients.

Following a competitive procurement process in 2016, West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (WMAS) was appointed as the provider of the Birmingham, Sandwell and Solihull NEPT service, which will commence on 1 May 2017. WMAS is very experienced in delivering NEPT services and has been commissioned to provide this service for the next five years - until April 2022.
