Pharmacies are the first port of call for many with health concerns. Today they are dispensing some advice to ensure people continue to get the help they need as cases of COVID19 rise across the Black Country and West Birmingham.
The NHS in Sandwell and West Birmingham and Public Health England (PHE) are well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.
The Chief Medical Officer announced that the country moved into the ‘Delay’ stage of the response to coronavirus on 11 March 2020.

As you will be aware, the NHS is currently facing an unprecedented situation regarding the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
Due to the very low number of patients attending the Solihull MIU between 10pm and 7am (less than ten people), the decision has been made to temporarily close this service between these hours.
This happened from 10pm on Wednesday 18 March 2020.
