Unpaid carers in Sandwell and West Birmingham are being encouraged to look after their own health as well as those they care for. NHS Sandwell and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is this week raising awareness of the support available in GP practices for local carers during Carers Week 2018.
The Five Ways Health Centre was rated as ‘Inadequate’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in February and subsequently placed into ‘Special Measures’.
The CQC is the independent regulator of health and social care in England, with the purpose to make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care.

Sandwell and West Birmingham residents are invited to attend the June Governing Body Meeting of NHS Sandwell and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The meeting will be held on Wednesday 6 June from 1.45PM – 4.00PM at The Board Room, 2F Kingston House, West Bromwich B70 9LD.
The Governing Body meets monthly to discuss its progress as a CCG and provide an opportunity for local people to see how health services are developing and improving for the benefit of patients.
