NHS Sandwell and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group (SWB CCG) commission (buy) health care services on your behalf.
SWB CCG is creating a Digital Strategy, which aims to transform health and care delivery through the use of digital technology over the next five years.
Part of this will be to help people keep themselves and their families healthy by using technology available to them and keep in touch with those that support them to manage their health condition.
Local people attended the very first Patient Voice Partnership for Urban Health Primary Care Network on Wednesday 22 January in Ladywood Community Centre.
The event was a huge success with over 50 local patients coming together to hear more about their local Primary Care Network (PCN). The event attracted patients from the local area and including patients who are members of their local practice Patient Participation Group (PPG). It was great to see the diversity of the local population represented. Chris Vaughan, a local person and chair of the Broadway PPG welcomed everyone for attending and handed over to Dr Zaman, the Clinical Director for Urban Health PCN explained the context and background for PCNs and played a short video explaining the role of a Primary Care Network. In his presentation Dr Zaman covered the composition of the PCN.
