Annual Workforce Profile
Our 2018-19 WRES profile will be published by 31 March 2019.
Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES)
Sandwell and West Birmingham CCG is fully committed to creating an inclusive workplace that is free from discrimination where all our staff are empowered to thrive and flourish based on their diverse talent. This is enshrined in our organisational values and enacted through our behaviours at all levels.
SWB CCG recognises leadership of the WRES must come from the Governing body and accordingly has appointed its Vice Chair as Governing Body lead for Equality, Diversity and WRES. The governing body have in place a robust system for reviewing CCG WRES data, and that of our providers, identyfiying any areas for development and reporting back to the Governing Body at least annually on its progress in overseeing the implementation of the standard.
SWB CCG will collate, review and publish WRES data where appropriate against the 9 indicators set out below, in accordance with the timescales set by NHS England. We will also require our main providers to comply with their own requirements in respect of the WRES and will seek timely assurance of publication and compliance of the same.
The summary of our findings and progress will be reported within our annual Equality Progress report and displayed on our website.
The Governing body will ensure through overview and reporting processes that SWB CCG is giving ‘due regard’ to using the WRES indicators to help improve workplace experiences and representation at all levels within our workforce, for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff; and assurance, through the provision of evidence that providers are implementing the NHS Workforce Race Equality Standard.
