Patients in Sandwell and West Birmingham are being asked for their views on the future of GP services at:
Malling Health Centre Sandwell, Parsonage Street, West Bromwich, B71 4DL
Malling Health Great Bridge, 18 The Great Bridge Centre, Charles Street, West Bromwich, B70 0BF
Summerfield Primary Care Centre, 134 Heath Street, Winson Green, Birmingham, B18 7AL
The contracts for these practices are due to expire on 31 March 2019 and a public consultation has been launched from 5 February 2018 to decide what the future of these practices should be in order to best meet the health needs of our local population. Patients and other local stakeholders are being asked for their views on options for each practice and they have until 19 March 2018 to respond.
Dr Nick Harding, Chair at NHS Sandwell and West Birmingham CCG, said:
“This is an opportunity for patients and anyone with an interest in these GP practices to have their say about what they want and need, so I would encourage people to take time to share their views with us.
“The review of these practices, as their contracts come to an end, is part of a wider transformation of health and social care services in Sandwell and West Birmingham. High quality primary care is crucial for improving outcomes and our GP practices are achieving significant successes by working effectively together. Our strategy has been built on the feedback we have received from patients, their carers and their communities over many years.”
