Don’t forget to have your say on same day access to health services

Text size:
There are a few weeks left to have your say on same day access to services for minor illness or injuries in Sandwell and West Birmingham.

NHS Sandwell and West Birmingham CCG is reviewing these services and wants to hear local views as the CCG knows that accessing the right local healthcare service when you need it is really important.

There are currently a range of services available to patients from their local GP practice, to NHS 111 and walk-in centre services. The CCG would like to understand local people’s current experience of these services and what they are looking for in a future service in order to start to shape their plans.

The CCG will be out talking to community groups over the next few weeks and will be asking local views in the areas two walk-in centres: Parsonage Street Walk-in Centre and Summerfield Urgent Care Centre.

Dr Manir Aslam, local GP and Clinical lead for urgent care services, says: “We’ve been talking to people about their views on these services for the past few weeks and are keen to understand more from right across our community. We want to know about patients’ current experience of services and what is important to them in the future. This will help us to develop plans to ensure that we are offering appropriate local health services that best meet the needs of our population.”

To give your views you can complete a questionnaire at:  https://www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=152406356688. The survey will close on 1 June 2018.
