Presented by national newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky, ‘70 years of the NHS’ is a news-style programme produced by NHS Productions in partnership with NHS England. Launched at the NHS Confederation in June at Manchester Central, the programme will form part of an extensive communications campaign to celebrate this special anniversary.

ITN Productions invited SWBCCG to participate in the programme following a recommendation from NHS England for the good work the CCG is doing to improve local patient care through its Primary Care Development Framework (PCCF).

The PCCF was launched in 2016 by the CCG in partnership with local GP practices to improve quality and health outcomes for patients. The scheme represents a joint pledge by practices and the CCG to work together to improve and deliver consistent and fair services for patients. Its focus is on early detection and diagnosis of disease and other conditions including, diabetes, cancer and stroke.
