Inspirational Practice Nurse to share best practice at national conference

An inspirational practice nurse from Rowley Regis has been invited with her team to share their passion and drive for patient care at a national nursing conference in October.

Davinia George and her team from Regis Medical Centre will be sharing their award winning achievements at the Best Practice and Best Practice in Nursing Conference on 18 October 2018.
Davinia was awarded Practice Nurse of the Year at Sandwell and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group’s 2018 GP Star Awards for having passion, drive and giving everything and everyone 100%.Davinia and her team were recognised for putting patients first, delivering excellent patient care and demonstrating continued learning.rsz practice nurse of the year award winner davinia george

NHS England’s Primary Care Nursing Lead Karen Storey, who presented Davinia with her 2018 GP Stars Award, and Paul Vaughan, Director of Nursing – Transformation, recently visited Davinia and her team at Regis Medical Centre. They were so impressed that they asked Davinia to co-present with them at the conference. Davinia will be aiming to inspire General Practice nurses, practice managers and GPs from across the country by showcasing the achievements in patient care in Rowley Regis.

The Best Practice and Best Practice in Nursing Conference is Europe’s largest annual conference and exhibition for grassroots general practice and the wider primary care community, attracting more than 5,500 delegates over two days for training, knowledge sharing, networking and peer support. This year’s event is taking place at the Birmingham NEC on 17 and 18 October. The lively conference programme enables attendees to enhance their clinical and practice management skills and promotes the spread of ideas and innovations that will improve care and outcomes for patients and increase efficiency.
