Patients and the public are invited to our November Governing Body meeting. The meeting takes place on Wednesday 7 November from 1.45pm – 4.00pm in The Board Room, 2F Kingston House, West Bromwich.

The Governing Body meets monthly in public to discuss its progress as a CCG and provide an opportunity for local people to see how health services are developing and improving for the benefit of patients.

Sandwell and West Birmingham CCG is a membership organisation involving 85 GP practices serving around 570,000 patients across the Sandwell and West Birmingham area.

Dr Nick Harding, Chair of NHS Sandwell and West Birmingham CCG, said:

“We look forward to welcoming patients and the public to our November meeting where they can hear how the CCG is seeking innovative ways and working in partnership to improve the health of local people.

“It’s important that patients have a much greater say in their healthcare and there are a number of ways that they can do that. Most of our GP practices now have a Patient Participation Group (PPG) which allows patients to work with the practice to ensure services are meeting the needs of local patients.

“Patients Network Meetings are an open forum of local residents, patients and community groups with an interest in health. It is a place where you can learn more about how we manage resources on behalf of our population. These networks are organised by our Engagement Team. Representatives from each of the PPGs from local GP practices are actively involved in the Patient networks.

“We have also established Patient Summits, which give clinicians in localities access to a wider network of patients, their carers and organisations who advocate on their behalf.
