Black Country Joint Commissioning Committee

The Black Country Joint Commissioning Committee, chaired by one of the four Black Country CCG Chairs for six months in rotation, is established in accordance with the constitution for the four CCGs: Dudley, Sandwell and West Birmingham, Walsall and Wolverhampton. Each CCG’s Governing Body has approved the terms of reference.

 The purpose of the Joint Commissioning Committee is to establish a single commissioning view in line with the STP arrangements for key services across the Black Country, and to ensure any commissioning requirements arising out of STP workstreams are implemented.

The committee currently has delegated authority from the four Black Country CCG Governing Bodies to oversee specified commissioning activities in relation to joint policy development, submission of joint bids for new NHS England funding for mental health services and ensuring implementation of the Transforming Care Partnership programme for people with a learning disabilities and/or autism.
