Your patient voice is at the heart of everything we do in the CCG and our Engagement team actively encourage everyone to get involved.

The Sandwell and West Birmingham patients, public partners and communities are really important in developing and shaping healthcare services. We really value your input and views and encourage you to talk with our staff, take part in consultations and attend public meetings.

Our Patient Involvement Model

We have recently reviewed our Patient Involvement Model and have engaged with local patients, citizens and voluntary sector representatives on our pdf new model (198 KB) . You can find out how the ways you get involved influences the CCG on our listening to you page

Patient Voice - Travel Expenses Policy

To facilitate members of the public taking part in specific topic meetings organised by the CCG, a new Patient Voice - Travel Expenses Policy has been produced which will come into operation as from the 1st April 2018.

The ICOF and Healthworks Joint Patient Summit meeting scheduled for the 6 March has now been postponed until Tuesday 5 June 2018.

Attend a ‘Whose Shoes?’ listening workshop!

Whose Shoes Workshop

As part of our commitment to engaging women and their families in the transformation of maternity services, ‘Whose Shoes?’ workshops have been organised across the Black Country.

The purpose of the workshops is to bring people that are involved or that have experienced maternity services together.

This will be an invaluable opportunity to hear first-hand the experiences of women and their families.

If you’re a new mum or mum-to-be living in the Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall or Wolverhampton area, please attend and share your views, experiences or ideas.

The ‘Whose Shoes?’ workshops take place on:

  • Tuesday 27 March 2018, 10am-2pm at Dudley Canal and Tunnel Trust, Birmingham New Rd, Dudley, DY1 4SB – Book here

ICOF and Healthworks area - Joint Patient Summit meeting – Tuesday 6 March 2018 - EVENT POSTPONED

ICOF logoAll GPs, staff, PPG members and patients are invited to attend the yearly Patient Summit meeting which has been organised for Tuesday 6th March as follows:

 

Time:    12:30 (Registration and sandwiches)
              1:00 – 3:00 pm meeting

Venue:  The H Suite, Icknield Port Road, Edgbaston. B16 0AA

Participants will be able to listen to an update on the NHS, hear about the activities over the previous twelve months  from the three Patient Representatives for the area together with giving their views on the new Primary Care Improved Access and Walk in Centre consultation.   There will also be an opportunity for patients to ask questions at the Summit.
